WILLARD MORGAN (comedian/musician/multimedia artist) has appeared as a standup and actor in New York, Los Angeles and wherever else he could get some stage time. He produced the award-winning Broadway debut of THE RUNNER STUMBLES by Milan Stitt, starred in the Playwright’s Horizon’s production of SAY GOODNIGHT, GRACIE, directed by Austin Pendleton. He co-produced the feature film, AMERICA SO BEAUTIFUL, directed by Babak Shokrian. His comedy short, FESTIVAL FEVER, won Best Short at the Florida International Film Festival, the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival, and a Sony Visions Award. His CONFESSIONS OF A FILMAHOLIC was the featured opener at the Festival de Cine Pobre in Gibara, Cuba, and his other shorts played in festivals around the world. In Fever Pitch, his most controversial comedy feature, Morgan turned the camera on filmmaker Michael Moore, and gets thrown out of his office in the process. His comedy travel web series, MISGUIDED TOURS, can be seen at The inspiration for SAINT HOLLYWOOD came from hours of interviews taped in Los Angeles as Morgan tried to capture the disappearing denizens of the boulevard, the ‘martyrs to the Church of Eternal Fame’. He studied with Austin Pendleton, Bill Esper and owes a lot to Jacques LeCoq with whom he studied briefly. Morgan’ mother, Suzie Morgan, was a huge influence on him. She had a lengthy career as a lyric soprano and was a Metropolitan Opera Semi-Finalist (which means she almost got the ‘big gig’!) Enormous thanks to the extraordinary actress/director Jenny Lee Mitchell for helping bring SAINT HOLLYWOOD to the stage and Jerry Ziman, co-creator, for once again, taking the reins of these wild horses and guiding the piece to it’s completion.
